Things to do in Hazira & Suvali
1 events in hazira & suvali across Surat β mostly business (1).
Hazira is the industrial port belt west of the city, where the Tapi meets the sea, and Suvali Beach lies on its coast about 20β25 km from central Surat. Suvali is the quieter of Surat's two beaches, a long stretch of dark sand with far fewer stalls than Dumas. It has a place in history: as Swally, it was the anchorage of the English East India Company, and Captain Thomas Best defeated a Portuguese fleet off it in 1612. Farms around Hazira also supply much of the winter ponk sold in the city. There is little public transport, so go with your own vehicle and leave before dark.
