Things to do in Pal

Pal, west of Adajan towards the Hazira road, has become Surat's address for stand-up and small theatre. The municipal Performing Art Centre on L.P. Savani Road, a 309-seat auditorium with rehearsal, music, dance and recording rooms, books touring comedians most weekends. The Sanjeev Kumar Auditorium behind Rajhans cinema on Hazira Road, named after the Surat-born film actor, stages Gujarati plays, musical nights and school functions. New apartment blocks, cafés and wide roads surround both. BRTS corridors run from Adajan Patiya to Pal RTO and on to ONGC Colony, which makes Pal easier to reach by bus than most of the city's newer suburbs.
