Things to do in Vesu

Vesu is Surat's newest high-rise district, south-west of the old city, and much of the city's ticketed going-out now happens here. VIP Road and the lanes off it hold the cafés and small rooms that book stand-up and workshops: The Green Room at Shyam Plaza runs comedy most weekends, and The Bungalow Cafe hosts art sessions and social meet-ups. During Navratri, Balar Farm and the C.B. Patel stadium parking ground at Abhva, just south, stage large ticketed garba. Lalbhai Contractor Stadium, the Surat District Cricket Association's ground, is here too. Sitilink buses and the Canal Road BRTS serve the area, but most people arrive by two-wheeler, car or auto.
